Payment Terms

1. Definitions
In these Purchase Terms:

1. “Courses” includes all seminars, courses and events, including electronic courses for completion online (“e courses”), made available by Lawcover for purchase.
2. “Insurance” means all policies issued or arranged by Lawcover.
3. “Lawcover”, “we”, “us” or “our” means Lawcover Insurance Pty Limited.
4. “Website” means a Lawcover website or portal, on which Courses may be purchased.

3. Contract and price

1. All our prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST, unless expressly indicated.
2. In some cases, discounted prices are available to legal practices insured by us, or newly insured by us, or members of the Law Society of New South Wales. We will tell you if a discount is available.  Discounts do not apply to e courses.
3. Descriptions of Courses and prices may be subject to change or correction at any time. Although we seek to ensure information is correct, we make no representation or warranty as to information being accurate or complete. If we discover an error (e.g. Courses are displayed for the wrong price), we will update our Website as soon as possible.  If you have already made a purchase, we will notify you as soon as possible and allow you to cancel your order and obtain a refund if desired. You may be required to provide your credit card details to us for the purpose of issuing a credit to your credit card account in the amount of any cancelled order.
4. By submitting a purchase order or booking (including via a Website) you warrant that:
   1. you are capable of entering into a legally binding contract with Lawcover,
   2. you are authorised and able to make payment via the method specified,
   3. the payment information you have provided is correct, and
   4. your purchase is not made for the purpose of commercial resale.A contract for purchase of a Course is only formed once we have accepted a purchase order by issuing a booking confirmation.

5. Refund/cancellation policy

1. If you receive an incorrect Course booking confirmation (whether due to your error or ours), please contact the Practice Support Services team on (02) 9286 8877 or practicesupportservices@lawcover.com.au within 7 days of booking. We will arrange, at our discretion and depending on availability, an exchange, credit or refund.  We will consider granting an exchange, credit or refund for other reasons, at our discretion.
2. Any refund will be made using your original payment method or another method at our discretion.
3. If you notify us in writing more than 24 hours before a scheduled Course event that you are unable to attend, you may choose to have a refund issued or nominate a replacement delegate to attend in your place. (Not applicable to e courses.)
4. An exchange, credit or refund is not available less than 24 hours before a scheduled Course event or after a Course event has occurred.
5. To claim a refund, exchange or credit, or for further information, please contact the Practice Support Services team on (02) 9286 8877 or practicesupportservices@lawcover.com.au.

Lawcover runs Courses as advertised and sold but reserves the right to change the Courses and/or Course content and/or schedule without notice and to cancel if there are insufficient registrations.

6. Photography
By attending a Course, you acknowledge that your photo might be taken, and you consent to the taking and use (including in any publication or production) of any such photo by us in whole or in part, and in conjunction with any words or drawings, in electronic or print form.

7. Privacy

1. In order to process your Course purchase, we collect Personal Information (as that term is defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)). Any Personal Information collected via the Website will be handled in accordance with Our Privacy Policy, which is available on our Website.
